Atlas Copco Construction Equipment (ACCE) now is responsible for the sales and service of Atlas Copco Hurricane boosters in the United States. This transition will allow ACCE to offer a more complete product range of portable compressors and boosters to customers in the oil, gas, water well and mining industries who need high-pressure compressed air or nitrogen up to 5,000 psi. The Hurricane booster product line will be sold by the existing ACCE sales team. ACCE has appointed Blake Gearhart as product & business development manager for high-pressure compressors and boosters. Gearhart will support dealers and customers and develop new business opportunities for Hurricane boosters.

As mining operations face ongoing demands to increase productivity and decrease costs without sacrificing safety, as well as a lack of highly skilled operators, Atlas Copco has published the manual, “Blasthole Drilling in Open Pit Mining,” to help customers successfully meet these challenges. The publication features 11 technical articles and nine case studies. The technical articles offer important information in a practical and concise manner that everyone from experienced drill operators to industry novices will find useful and easy to understand. Among the topics covered are blasting techniques in open cut metal mines, utilizing technology and automation on site, and ergonomics and safety.

Dynapac LLC, a company within the Atlas Copco Group, will become fully integrated into the sales organization for all Atlas Copco construction products sold in the U.S. market. The goal of the integration allows Atlas Copco to maximize efficiencies and manage costs by sharing its business structure with Dynapac. Over the long term, this means Atlas Copco and Dynapac customers will have access to more complete product lines and an extensive parts inventory and distribution system.
