Watson’s ExcaDrill is designed to use the ex-cavator at-tachment hydraulics to power the drill attachment, and incorporates a hydraulic rotary with dual variable displacement motors. The rotary is located at the bottom of the mast structure to provide increased stability for drilling large-diameter shafts in varied site conditions. Typical drill diameters with the Model EDT-7 are from 42 inches to 54 inches, with drill depths to 86 feet. Drilling torque is 60,000 lb./ft. The Model EDT-7 can be mounted on a 40-ton to 45-ton excavator, and has a geometry that accommodates a wide range of applications, working over casings, reaching over obstructions and up slopes.
