Fourteen students each receive $1,000 for school.

Fourteen students in all --the sons and daughters of owners and employees of professional independent water systems dealers throughout North America -- are attending the colleges of their choice this fall with financial help from Goulds Pumps, ITT Industries. Each of the students was awarded a $1,000 education scholarship given recently by the Seneca Falls, N.Y.-based water systems manufacturer.

"Goulds Pumps continues to recognize the importance of supporting the education of our youth," states Dennis Coggins, vice president of sales for Goulds Pumps, ITT Industries. "This year, Goulds Pumps is very proud to present these scholarships to 14 very deserving young adults."

The scholarships are given each year to college-bound dependent children of Goulds Professional Dealer Association (GPDA) members and their employees, regardless of the child's planned academic area of concentration, at any two- or four-year institution. The GPDA scholarship program is just one of the many benefits members receive by joining the industry's only exclusive association of independent water systems professionals. "We can't think of a better way to build a better tomorrow than by helping our young people become ready for the fast-paced industry of the future through enhanced education," Coggins says. "Several scholarship winners are from multi-generation pump businesses," he notes. "The GPDA scholarship program is helping to prepare sons and daughters to carry on the legacy of their families into the next generation."
