The Florida Legislature Bill S1030 on Water Resources requires Florida Department of Environmental Protection to adopt primary and secondary drinking water regulations for non-transient, non-community water systems and transient non-community water systems, and authorizes the department to make loans to nonprofit transient non-community water systems.

Section 17 Florida Statutes was amended to read: Section 373.324 License renewal - A water well contractor shall submit an application for renewal of a license to the water management district that issued the license. The water management district shall renew the license upon receipt of the renewal application and proof of completion of 12 hours of continuing education requirements. It also authorizes said contractors to install, repair and modify pumps and tanks and water treatment conditioning equipment in accordance with the Florida Building Code.
