The Florida Ground Water Association (FGWA) has plenty to report from the Sunshine State. According to president Wayne Smith, the association's recent "You're in the Money" convention and trade show was a big success. Attendees enjoyed the convention's informative program, as well as the chance to grab free cash in the money machine. Smith would like to extend thanks to convention chairman Dottie Mixon Roberts, co-chairman Mona Myers, program chairman J.D. Kemp and golf chairman Terry Robinson for their hard work, as well Time Stein and AMTROL for their generosity in sponsoring the Friday evening pool-side party.

At the FGWA's annual general membership meeting, several administrative measures were taken care of, including various elections. For the year 2002, Wayne Smith was re-elected president, while Dottie Mixon Roberts was named vice president and Griffin Crosby Jr. won the secretary/treasurer position. The following individuals were re-elected for a two-year term: Donald Hall, Sherwood Hall, J. D. Kemp, Roy Lilland, and Dottie Mixon Roberts. Additionally, Robert Casewell of Grundfos Pump Corp., Lady Lake, Fla., was elected as a new director for a two-year term.

The next FGWA Quarterly Meeting will take place July 12-14 at the Adams Mark Hotel in Jacksonville. For hotel reservations, call 904-633-9095 or visit www.fgwa.org for more information on the meeting.
