Recognizing the need for large horizontal directional drilling machines that are capable of performing longer-distance, bigger-diameter installations and are supported by a worldwide dealership network, Vermeer Manufacturing Co., Pella, Iowa, has announced its intention to custom-build NAVIGATOR HDD rigs in the over 100,000-pound class.
To assist with the drilling fluid requirements of large HDD operations, Vermeer also will be custom-building reclaiming systems with processing rates in excess of 300 gpm and remote pumping systems delivering over 500 gpm.
Demonstrating its capabilities to serve in this market, Vermeer recently introduced the D150x300.
