The California Department of Water Resources will hold a series of public workshops this fall to summarize current water conditions and preparations for the possibility that 2002 may be a dry year. Topics to be covered include implementation of the Governor's Advisory Drought Planning Panel's recommendations, the weather outlook, potential water supply conditions if next year is dry and actions water suppliers are taking to improve their drought preparedness.

The workshops, which will take place at various locations throughout California during the months of October and November, will be co-sponsored by the Association of California Water Agencies. Visit wwwdwr.water.ca.gov or call 916-651-8136 for more information and specific locations.
