Atlas Copco CMT USA Inc., Commerce City, Colo., announces that Quarry and Contractor Equipment & Supply has joined the company as its newest rock drilling equipment distributor. Quarry and Contractor Equipment & Supply has been selling Atlas Copco air compressors since 1994; the addition of Atlas Copco's drilling rigs is a natural fit.
Quarry and Contractor was the Baltimore branch of Quarrymen's Supplies Co., which opened in 1970 to serve the local drilling and blasting industry. The company has 14 employees.
"Having Quarry and Contractor as our new drilling equipment distributor will strengthen our position in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S.A.," says Atlas Copco's general manager Jim Levitt. "We have gained the momentum and focus needed to sell and service our drill rig in an area that has excellent growth potential for us."
