Delivering a remarkable rate of penetration (ROP), Halco's new Deep Well 600 and Deep Well 880 hammers have completed an exhaustive 18-month test market and now are available nationwide. While this rate should not be considered typical, a ROP exceeding 200 feet per hour is not unusual, providing sufficient air is available. As a result of this speed, contractors' speed to touchdown has proven faster and more cost-effective, resulting in a low cost-per-foot.
