The Water Quality Association (WQA) has hired Tanya Lubner as WQA director of education. In her new role, Lubner will be in charge of all WQA professional certification, distance education, educational publications, state WQA educational liaison activities, and WQA Aquatech USA and Mid-Year Conference educational programs.

“My immediate focus will be to work with the board and the commercial/industrial section to build a certification program for the incredibly diverse group of individuals and companies in that section,” says Lubner. “It will be essential to determine what areas of expertise are key to those sectors.”

WQA executive director Peter Censky says, “We are delighted that Tanya will be joining WQA. Her considerable skills will help expand our professional education program at a time when the WQA is expanding our scope dramatically, bringing all water treatment industry sectors under one roof.”
