Many of the frontline troops in the environmental and governmental struggles over water in the drought-stricken southeast United States will be on hand at the Southeast FOCUS Ground Water Conference, Sept. 24-25 in Atlanta. Key topics to be discussed include nitrates in the Florida aquifer, remediation technology, drought and water supply issues, wetlands and many other pertinent issues. The two-day event is co-sponsored by the National Ground Water Association, the Georgia Office of the U.S. Geological Survey and the State University of West Georgia.
