Mexico has agreed to deliver to the United States 600,000 acre-feet of water in partial fulfillment of its obligation under the 1944 Water Treaty. Mexico expects to deliver by July 31 a total for the current cycle year of 600,000 acre-feet, depending on rainfall. After that date, if the amount delivered is below 600,000 acre-feet, Mexico will provide additional water to meet the target of 600,000 acre-feet by Sept. 30.
