Roex, a California-based company, has introduced a 16-ounce sport water bottle that eliminates some common fears associated with water quality. The Roex H2O Sports Bottle incorporates Innova Pure Inc.'s patented activated carbon filter system, certified by NSF International ANSI/NSF Standard 42, Class 1 for chlorine, taste and odor reduction. An independent laboratory also tested the filter for lead reduction - the results averaging 97 percent.

The filter included with each Roex H2O Sports Bottle is good for 150 uses and can be replaced for under $10. To purchase the equivalent amount in bottled water, consumers would spend approximately $150.
