Flowserve Corp. recently was honored as the recipient of the Indo-American Chamber-Sanmar Indo-U.S. Business Cooperation Award.

Flowserve president Lewis Kling accepted the award in Chennai, India, on behalf of the company. Flowserve specializes in fluid motion and control products and services to the water, oil and gas, power and chemical pro-cessing sectors, as well as other industries.

In its inaugural year, the award was developed to recognize the efforts of individuals and business enterprises for their significant contribution in promoting Indo-U.S. relationships through business and economic activity. The award serves as a benchmark for excellence in building relationships between India and the U.S.

The award recognizes Flowserve’s business relationship and operations in India, which date back over 40 years. In addition to its history in the region, Flowserve has company offices in several other Indian locations.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized by the Indo-American Chamber for the business relations we have fostered with India,” says Kling. “We are extremely pleased with the business environment in India, and believe it is critical for our long-term success as a leader in our industry.”
