Deep foundations specialist Koker Drilling Co., based in Vandalia, Ohio, has been installing drilled shafts for the Cayuga Generating Station Unit #1 and #2 Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization System Retrofit in Cayuga, Ind. The work is being performed for Indianapolis-based F.A. Wilhelm Construction Co. This $4 million-plus drilling project consists of more than 500 drilled shafts – mostly 48 inches diameter by 70 feet in length, including 25-foot rock sockets and 96-inch diameter bells in rock.
