Amthor International has been named to the 2009 Inc. 5000. The Inc. 5000, published annually by Inc. Magazine, celebrates the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. This is the second year in a row that Amthor has been named to this prestigious list.

“This achievement puts Amthor in rarefied company: The elite group they have now joined has, over the years, included companies such as Microsoft, Timberland, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Oracle and UnderArmour,” states Jane Berentson, editor in chief, Inc. Magazine. “In fact, many of today's most successful U.S. companies received their first national recognition when they appeared on the Inc. list.”

Amthor International is the nation’s largest manufacturer of truck-mounted tanks, and distributes them all over the world from its manufacturing facility in Gretna, Va.

“Being named to the Inc. 5,000 is an incredible honor,” says Brian Amthor, vice president of marketing. “We have been able to accomplish this two years in a row through the hard work of everyone at Amthor, all our employees, our management team and the Amthor family. We thank everyone at Amthor for his or her dedication and effort as we continue to grow and succeed.”

Inc. Magazine reports that the Inc. 5000 is a comprehensive portrait of fast-growing companies. Each profile is researched and reported by one of the dozens of writers assigned to the project, and includes interviews with the CEOs of all the companies on the list. The Inc. 5000 profiles are available on Inc.com.

Amthor International will be recognized, along with other winners, at the 28th Annual Inc. 500/Inc. 5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony to be held Sept. 23-25, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
