The Florida Ground Water Association’s (FGWA) 2010 Convention & Trade Show took place May 6-8 in Orlando. Association president Pat Partridge’s goal for the convention was to make the event an educational, motivational and social success. Done, done and done.

More than 12 hours of continuing education were offered, with courses covering important topics such as well rehabilitation, safety issues, geothermal, pump technology, legislative and business management concerns, grouting and more. The roster of seminar presenters was, indeed, top-notch.

The exhibit hall, featuring 64 vendors, was open to visitors for 5 hours, giving the 425 attendees plenty of opportunity to check out the latest products, equipment and services.

Also, Geoprobe presented a pair of field demonstrations, and the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association offered a 21⁄2-day accreditation workshop.

The theme of this year’s convention was “Success Is Just Around the Curve,” and we certainly share that optimism. We look forward to next year’s show, which takes place May 5-7, again at the Caribe Royale All Suite Hotel in Orlando.
