NGWA to Run Michigan Association

The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) reports that the Michigan Ground Water Association (MGWA) board of directors has contracted with NGWA as the management firm for MGWA. NGWA chief financial officer Paul Humes will serve as the MGWA executive director.

NGWA executive director Kevin McCray says, “We consider it a unique privilege to serve as the administrative manager for the Michigan Ground Water Association, one of our nation’s largest state organizations for our industry. NGWA is committed to doing its upmost to meet the requested services outlined by the MGWA Board. “With Michigan, NGWA expands services it provides to state associations, adding it to our management services portfolio of the Pacific Northwest Ground Water Expo, as well as the Water Management Association of Ohio.”

MGWA provides educational opportunities for members, and networking opportunities through an annual meeting and exposition. It also conducts state legislative affairs and engages with state regulators on issues that impact the industry and the membership, and works to inform the public about its ground water resources and water well systems.

TEI Tabs Champion for the West

TEI Rock Drills, Montrose, Colo., has named Champion Equipment Sales as its distributor for the western United States and Canada. TEI is a world leader in drilling attachments and limited-access rigs, and its success has resulted in a need to offer more service to more customers, and to build more drills. Champion Equipment Sales has a well-developed service area in the western United States, and needed to fill its product offering with small- to medium-sized equipment.  After a few conversations, both companies realized that a partnership would serve their customers the best.

With this new partnership, Joe Patterson at TEI Rock Drills no longer will be responsible for direct sales in the western United States, but will focus on TEI’s marketing, and still will be available for advice on drilling solutions. Champion Sales, with Vincent Jue, and Steve, John and Matt Wilson, will cover the western United States and Canada for TEI, along with representing Soilmec drill rigs, Leffer oscillators, and a wide range of drill tooling.

Champion is headquartered in Henderson, Nev., and has offices in Paramount, Calif., and Salt Lake City.
