The Connecticut Geothermal Association recently was formed to help promote public awareness and the use of ground source heat pump technology in Connecticut.

The stated purpose of the association is to promote the growth of the industry in Connecticut by improving public awareness and education, training installers, builders, and designers, and establishing an information exchange database including system design, performance data, case studies and rebate information. The association also will represent the industry in relevant local and state legislative affairs.

The association is comprised of accredited installers, well drillers and other professionals in the geothermal industry, and is dedicated to the promotion of efficient ground source energy in Connecticut buildings. Committees have been formed, and a board of directors has been elected. New members are encouraged to join.
