Deep Foundations Institute Opens Call for Papers for The DFI Journal
January 17, 2013
The Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) is issuing a call for papers for The DFI Journal, a peer-reviewed publication of the deep foundations engineering sector.
The DFI Journal, now in its seventh year, features original “practice-oriented” papers related to topics important to geo-professionals. The DFI says this might included design and support of heavy structures, and excavations that include different piling systems, drilled shafts, slurry walls, ground improvements, soil mixing, soil nailing and anchors.
The DFI encourages authors to submit papers on new and emerging technologies related to innovative constructions, marine foundations, retaining systems and other topics. Case studies with technical support data are welcome. Other submissions could include practice-oriented or opinion papers, technical notes and book reviews.
Submit draft papers, up to 20 pages in length (after formatting), to www.dfi-journal.org for review. An editorial review board will read entries, and contact authors whose papers are considered for publication in the next issue, or future issues of The DFI Journal. The board will then arrange for full reviews in order to complete final papers. Authors of accepted papers must sign a copyright license agreement prior to publication.
