For the second year in a row, Kiewit Corp., one of the North America’s largest and most respected construction and mining organizations, is being recognized as one of the best workplaces in Canada.

For nearly 130 years, Kiewit’s rich culture has continued to instill a sense of pride in the company. Company culture, strong leadership and Kiewit’s commitment to development and wellness programs are only part of the reason that Kiewit made this year’s list of “Best Workplaces in Canada.”

“Our people are the reason we’re one of the best places to work,” says Michael Geary, vice president of human resources. “Achieving this honor is just one more acknowledgement – albeit a special one – of the type of workplace Kiewit continues to build and foster.”

Just as last year, two-thirds of the selection process was based on an employee survey, which makes this recognition especially rewarding for Kiewit and its employees. This list of “Best Workplaces in Canada” is compiled by Great Place to Work Institute Canada, a global research and management consultancy with expertise on workplace transformation. The list provides insight relative to the five trust-building dimensions of a great place to work – credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
