Water-Right Inc., an Appleton, Wis.-based manufacturer of residential and commercial water treatment systems, announced this month its acquisition of CustomCare Water Technologies. CustomerCare, based in Neenah, Wis., expands Water-Right’s portfolio of treatment products and services.

From a business perspective, this acquisition is a great fit,” said Kurt Gruett, president of Water-Right. “With the CustomCare addition we gain the people and knowledge to expand in the commercial and industrial water treatment markets. Their strengths will greatly enhance our capabilities in the ‘bid spec’ markets while also assisting us with our current commercial accounts."

Financial terms of the deal between the two family-owned companies were not disclosed, and CustomCare will exists as a division of Water-Right. Water-Right will retain CustomCare’s employees. CustomCare accounts will continue to carry the CustomCare product lines and may have access to additional products from Water-Right in the future.

“CustomCare also maintained a dealer presence which will add significantly to Water-Right’s presence in the marketplace,” added Gruett. “By combining our resources and experience, we expect to increase CustomCare’s name recognition, along with market share and distribution.”

Tim Marek, past president of CustomCare, will direct all CustomCare operations on behalf of Water-Right as the manager of commercial/industrial operations. Dan Peters will oversee CustomCare’s dealer organization.

“Customers of CustomCare Water Technologies will continue to be provided with all the support and service they are familiar with, along with many new and exciting products and opportunities through Water-Right,” said Marek. “We intend to prove that this acquisition will be the perfect synergy for both companies moving forward in the marketplace.”
