Schramm was recently recognized by the state of Pennsylvania for the company’s growth in international exports.

Fred Slack, vice president of business development, accepted the 2013 Governor’s Impact Award for Exporting for Southeastern Pennsylvania on behalf of Schramm at a late May event. Gov. Tom Corbett, as well as Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary C. Alan Walker, presented the award.

The award is sponsored by TEAM Pennsylvania, and nearly 100 nominations were submitted by the Partnerships for Regional Economic Performance (PREP)

network. Finalists also included Analytical Graphics, Boeing, Elite Sportswear and Valtech. All finalists represent the top tenth of one percent in company performance in their respective industries.

Nominations were based on company performance over a three-year period, including new international market penetration, growth in revenue and job creation, and utilization of PREP export support services.

Schramm said in a release that, between 2010 and 2012, it tripled export revenue and opened new markets on three continents. The company averages 70 percent in export sales to total revenue annually. The company was also active with the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia, Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Council (DVIRC) and U.S. Commercial Service Export Assistance Center in Philadelphia throughout this period.
