National Drilling Association to Hold 2014 Convention in Ohio

October Convention Expecting More than 100 from the Drilling Industry

The National Drilling Association (NDA) will welcome more than 100 drillers, drilling managers, drilling company owners and manufacturers at their 2014 Annual Convention. It will take place Oct. 9-10 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio.

Exhibitors include Acker Drill Company, Baroid Industrial Drilling Products, Central Mine Equipment Company, Diedrich Drill Inc., Fecon Inc., Global Drilling Suppliers Inc., Hole Products, Law Office of Adele L. Abrams, SSD North America and World Wide Drilling Resource.

Attendees are invited to a golf outing on Thursday afternoon at Kings Island Grizzly Course and a President’s Dinner at the hotel in the evening. The dinner will include cocktails, awards, entertainment and networking opportunities.

Friday’s presentations, which offer up to eight professional development hours, include: Drilling Using Bio Degradable Drilling Fluid, presented by Joyce Evans Norcross, Clear-Bore USA Inc.; Drilling Safety: New MSHA and OSHA Developments, presented by Adele Abrams, Law Office of Adele L. Abrams PC; Safety Advancements in Sonic Drilling Technology, presented by Huug Eijkelkamp, SSD North America; Collecting Quality Acoustic Televiewer Data, presented by Doug Lambert, Geotechnology Inc.; and Bridge Project Discussion, presented by Kentucky DOT.

Demonstrations count toward continuing education credit in Delaware, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

The convention sponsors include Acker Drill Company, Central Mine Equipment Company, Diedrich Drill Inc., Fecon Inc., Geotechnology Inc., Global Drilling Suppliers Inc., NDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter and Terra Testing Inc.

The National Drilling Association is a nonprofit made up of contractors, manufacturers and affiliated members from the drilling industry representing the geotechnical, environmental and mineral exploration sectors.
