The compact, durable vacuum features heavy-duty components that allow it to perform well in the challenging conditions that many HDD jobs include. The MV800 is powered by a commercial-grade 31-horsepower gas engine. It comes with an electric start and a high-capacity remote air-intake filter.
To shrink downtime, Ditch Witch included an integrated carryover chamber in the filtration system. It serves to eliminate contaminants before they reach the blower.
Ideally sized for HDD cleanup is the vacuum’s 800-gallon spoils tank for drilling fluid. Spoils removal is supported by an optional reverse flow feature and hydraulic opening door. Drilling contractors also have the option of a 100-gallon water tank with an adjustable pressure of up to 3,000 psi for jobs like potholing utilities.
The MV800 prioritizes safety and simplicity with its strobe light, belt guards, mechanical locks on all lift cylinders and standard curbside controls that allow one person to control all functions. The entire machine fits into a 14,000-pound trailer.
Ditch Witch brand directional drills, trenchers and other products are manufactured by The Charles Machine Works at a facility in Perry, Okla. The family-owned company, founded in 1949, focuses on three principles: honesty, hard work and giving customers the best product in the world.
