2015 IGSHPA Technical Conference and Expo
New Training Feature Offers Option to Take CGD Course With or Without Certification
The 2015 International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) Technical Conference and Expo is set for Oct. 5-8 in Kansas City, Mo., at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at the Crown Center.
The IGSHPA Technical Conference and Expo provides an opportunity to gain perspective on the ground-source heat pump industry beyond local markets.
IGSHPA sets the standards for installation methods and training. Accredited driller, accredited installer, building load analysis and certified geoexchange designers (CGD) preconference training sessions start Oct. 5. New to the training classes this year is the option to take the CGD course with or without certification. The same training with the same instructor is now an option at a lesser fee, with no certification test at the end. Conference registration fees are included with any training registration.
The expo will feature a wide variety of geothermal community representatives to answer geothermal questions. This includes manufacturers, drillers, equipment dealers and industry associations. Expo hall admission is free to the public. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 7 and 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 8.
Conference general session tracks will feature residential applications, commercial applications, institutional applications, technical aspects, and advocacy/marketing presentations.
Throughout the conference, there are continual opportunities to make valuable connections with other geothermal professionals. Conference events and presentations allow participants to take a look at the industry on national and international levels.
