Numa, a designer and manufacturer of hammers and bits, is bringing on a new Latin America regional manager. Frank Gandar brings a strong sense of the field to the sales side.

"We are very excited to add a person with the vast drilling experience that Frank Gandar has on our sales team," says Ralph Leonard, president of Numa. "The combination of his outstanding drilling experience, professionalism and fluency in Spanish will be a major help to our customer base."

Gandar’s new responsibilities will be to support the existing distributors and further develop the sales in the water well, mining, quarry, construction, and oil and gas industries for Numa throughout the region.

Gandar began his career in the oil and gas drilling industry in 1988 as a floor hand and was quickly promoted to driller’s assistant for Wes-Tex Drilling. After 8 years, he went to work for Dresser Rand Air Compressor Division in 1996 as an air technician, supplying air packages throughout west Texas.

In 1998, he accepted a supervisor position with Weatherford UBS, training and working with compressed air and nitrogen packages. Eventually, Gandar accepted a management role on the drilling side of Weatherford, successfully supervising 60 drilling rigs throughout the region.

In 2008, he took a position as operations manager at NDS. NDS is a service company that supplies rental tools and supervision to drilling rigs in the western U.S. It was in this role that he continued to gain experience in the oilfield while also expanding his drilling knowledge by selling into the quarry and mining industries.

"Frank has an extensive drilling background. Not only has he drilled down to 15,000 feet, he has compressed air and nitrogen experience as well," says Neal Kuszewski, Numa sales manager. "He is a welcomed addition to our technically savvy sales force and we are proud that he is part of the Numa Family."
