Boart Longyear Sonic Rig Headed to South Atlantic Jubilee
LSTM250 MiniSonicTM Drilling Rig, Drilling Tooling to be Displayed
Boart Longyear will present its latest sonic drilling rig, the LSTM250 MiniSonicTM and sonic and overburden construction tooling at the South Atlantic Jubilee from June 16 to 18 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
“We manufacture a complete line of sonic drilling rigs and tooling specifically designed for the water well and environmental industries,” says Ron Hankins, sales manager, USA. “The South Atlantic Jubilee Show provides an opportunity for us to build our reputation within the industry, meet with current customers and create new relationships with potential customers.”
Boart Longyear experts will be on hand during the 2016 Jubilee in booth number 1006 showcasing the following:
- LS250 MiniSonic: The newest Boart Longyear sonic rig, the LS250 MiniSonic, features the MiniSonic head that’s been field-tested for more than 10 years. The LS250 MiniSonic dual-tube advancement allows the borehole to be cased off as the drill bit advances, providing access involving multiple aquifers without the risk of cross-contamination. Additional water applications include monitoring wells, investigations, remediation, recovery and extraction wells.
- Sonic Performance Tooling: Boart Longyear will feature its full line of sonic performance tooling, including bits, core barrels and rods. Quality sonic tooling reduces drilling costs by delivering reliable performance in a variety of ground conditions.
- Construction/Overburden/Geotechnical Performance Tooling: Boart Longyear offers innovative designs for any kind of overburden ground formation, made from steel and tungsten carbide inserts to ensure productive drilling and low cost per meter. They include designs for percussive, rotary, rotary-percussive, sonic and rotary-vibro applications.
