Terracon has named Blair Loftis as the national director of power generation and transmission.

Loftis brings more than 25 years of industry leadership experience in consulting engineering, construction management and electric utility management. His work in operations, strategy, project management and finance bring a unique understanding to project development and meeting client objectives.

Recognized as an expert on renewable energy, Loftis leads Terracon’s marketing of innovative services, including solar pile load testing and the patent-pending Pile Driving Performance Monitoring. Since joining the firm in 2015, he has served as national program manager of renewable energy from his office in Portland, where he was responsible for leading the direction of Terracon’s services to support renewable energy clients, primarily within the wind and solar energy sectors. He has worked closely to develop Terracon’s professional staff to position the company for targeted opportunities and to coordinate with scientific and engineering staff.

Loftis holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental toxicology from the University of California at Davis. He has authored several industry articles on energy and renewable power. He is president of a local non-profit agency, husband, father and an avid outdoorsman.
