Solinst Canada released their newly redesigned Model 410 Peristaltic Pump. Built for fieldwork, the Solinst peristaltic pump is ideal for vapor sampling or water sampling from shallow groundwater or surface water.

According to the company, the peristaltic pump's upgraded design makes it even more durable and handy for use in the field. The new pump head is clear, allowing quick, convenient inspection of the pump head tubing before and during operation.

The pump head cover is easy to remove for faster cleaning or replacement of the tubing, and the tubing guides are made to keep the tubing in place during sampling – no extra tubing clamps required.

The peristaltic pump also features a new easy-to-reset circuit breaker, which protects the pump's electronics. There is no fuse to replace; just simply press to reset the breaker and regain operation of the pump.

The peristaltic pump is simple to operate using one control that enables reversible flow and various speeds, allowing high- or low-flow sampling with rates from 40 ml/min to 3.5 L/min. It is effective to depths up to the suction lift limit, which varies with elevation and can be as much as 33 feet or 10 meters at sea level.

The pump features a metal case that is robust, compact, and lightweight with no vents, grates or openings, making it water resistant and easy to maintain and repair. The pump simply connects to a 12V power source to operate.
