Terracon, a consulting engineering firm, has named Michael Jenkins, PE, as national director for transportation construction engineering services.

Jenkins joins Terracon with a proven track record of working on all aspects of transportation construction projects, including engineering design, project management, construction engineering and inspection, and business development. His experience in successfully delivering major transportation projects includes Wisconsin’s Marquette Interchange and Zoo Interchange, as well as numerous interstate projects in the Midwest. Based in Terracon’s Austin office, Jenkins will focus on expanding the firm’s transportation opportunities in aviation, ports and waterways, rail and light rail, highways, and bridges.

“Construction is my passion,” Jenkins says. “It is incredibly exciting to join Terracon and to work with a great group of like-minded individuals, focused on further expanding the company’s transportation construction engineering services.”

With more than 20 years of experience including positions at AECOM and Michels Corporation, Jenkins is a licensed professional engineer. He earned his bachelors of science in civil engineering with a minor in physics from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
