Grundfos, a global leader in water technology, today announced the release of WellConnect, an app that enables water well contractors to more efficiently manage their pump or well business by completing daily water system management tasks on one digital platform — including drilling logs, completion and downhole data, pump history, and maintenance history.

“We worked with well drillers and pump installers to design an easy-to-use business efficiency tool for the groundwater professional,” says Dan Story, Grundfos vice president of sales for groundwater and irrigation. “With WellConnect, contractors can digitize their installation records from their fingertips at any time of the day, whether it’s pump installations or well construction.”

Grundfos WellConnect enables contractors to increase productivity by making it easy to manage records, securely upload and store project data in the cloud, then share this data with team members in the field or office. The app integrates everything that used to be on paper and an office computer into one digital platform with five sections: Clients, Projects, Wells Map, Calculators, and Pump Resources.

The Clients section makes it simple to capture and organize customer data and files. Projects allows contractors to record well and drilling logs, then create well visualizers to show customers dynamic project illustrations. The well completion summary can be used to generate a helpful outline of application components for use in well completion reports required by state governments. The Wells Map displays every well and pump installation completed by the contractor’s company. For added convenience, this feature can also assist in estimating a new well near an existing one by assessing geological formations, bit types, pipe, grouting, water tables, water production, time per job and additional data points. This information can be used to predict what a similar well or application requires. The Calculators section features built-in tools that allow users to input data and quickly calculate helpful figures like annular capacity. The Pump Resources section provides direct access to pump specifications, the WaterPRO portal, Grundfos Technical Institute, the Grundfos Technical Hotline, and more support options.

Signing up for a free trial gives contractors access to the first generation of the app. Trial users will have the opportunity to provide feedback as Grundfos continues adding useful functionality in future updates. With input from users, Grundfos will ensure WellConnect fits the needs of modern well drilling and pump installation businesses. Additional functionalities on Grundfos’ roadmap include well estimators, additional calculators, customizable data fields and more. App updates will be released on a monthly basis.

The Grundfos WellConnect app is available on Apple iOS, Google Play and PC on the Grundfos.us website. For more information on Grundfos WellConnect, visit www.grundfos.us/wellconnect.
