Sampling and logging device manufacturer Solinst Canada Ltd. upgraded the cable for their Model 102 Water Level Meters. These affordable Water Level Indicators feature narrow-diameter cable and probes for accurate manual depth to water measurements in tight spaces.

The new narrow cable features a heavy-duty polyurethane jacket, which the company says offers durability, abrasion-resistance and flexibility. The yellow cable is distinctly laser-marked each millimeter or every 1/100 of a foot, offering more visibility in the field.

Solinst Model 102 Water Level Meters have the option of two probes. The P4 Probe is only 4 millimeters (0.157 inches) in diameter, and is designed to easily access narrow monitoring applications, such as piezometers or open tubes.

The P10 Probe is 10 mm (⅜ inch) in diameter and features 10 segmented stainless steel weights for flexibility. This design is ideal for greater depths, and for getting around downhole instruments or other restrictions.

Both probes are available as options on standard 102 Water Level Meters, with lengths up to 300 meters (1,000 feet), as well as the compact Model 102M Mini Water Level Meter, with 25 meter (80 foot) cable lengths.

The company says the 102 Water Level Meter has the sturdy reel and frame that Solinst Meters are known for, as well convenient features such as a brake, probe holder, tape guide, on/off sensitivity dial, battery test button and easy-to-access battery tray for a standard 9V battery.
