Congratulations, you made it onto the platform and lead your own drilling crew. Now what? What comes after that?

Host Jeremy Verdusco, editor of National Driller, and co-host Brock Yordy, expert drill trainer and National Driller writer, explore how to step off the platform and into a management role in today’s episode of Drilling In-Site. Our guest is Travis Flint, owner of Thomas Flint & Son Water Well Drilling in Cadillac, Michigan, and vice president of the Michigan Ground Water Association (MGWA). Flint staked out his own path to work less on the platform and more on his business, and he offers tips and advice to those who want to do the same.

“You’ve got to have the right people in the right positions,” Flint says, “and have that full-time driller you can trust, a service guy that you can trust to make this whole thing work. That’s the only way you can do it.”

Many people in our audience want to either step off the platform or be the next one to step on, so we hope you enjoy the discussion and welcome your input. Did you make the transition? If so, how? Comment below or send an email to verduscoj@bnpmedia.com.
