Solinst Canada Ltd. has released a new fifth generation version of their water level datalogging tool, the Levelogger. In a release, the company says the new Levelogger brings “over 20 years of engineering and design experience with it” sharpening a focus on providing high-quality, reliable water level data.

The new Levelogger 5, Solinst says, represents an ongoing commitment to providing the best in water level datalogging. It features a more robust design, with double-sealed housing construction using high-grade 316 stainless steel. It also has a PFAS-free, corrosion-resistant PTFE coating, inside and out, to provide extra protection in harsh monitoring environments.

Solinst says the redesigned, single-lens optical interface offers improved datalogger connectivity with communication accessories and Solinst’s own Levelogger software. An increased memory capacity holds about 150,000 sets of water level and temperature readings, allowing for longer, uninterrupted monitoring applications and higher-resolution data with more frequent readings.

New tools for convenient in-field communication, including the Field Reader 5, are backward compatible with earlier Leveloggers using an adaptor. An adaptor is also available for Levelogger 5 dataloggers to work with existing accessories such as Direct Read Cables.

Solinst also updated other products, including the Levelogger 5 app interface that provides a Bluetooth connection between the Levelogger 5 and a smart device, and the DataGrabber 5 for easy data transfer to a USB drive in the field. Users can also connect the Levelogger 5 to Solinst Telemetry Systems using the latest in wireless communication technologies.

The Levelogger 5 Series of dataloggers also includes the Barologger 5 for recording barometric data required for absolute water level data compensation; the Levelogger 5 Junior that provides a simple, cost-effective datalogging option; the Levelogger 5 LTC for recording water levels, temperature and conductivity; and the Rainlogger 5 rainfall datalogger. In addition, the Solinst LevelVent 5 and AquaVent 5 vented water level dataloggers have also been revamped.
